THE HORSEBIT

Born from Gucci’s early connection to the world of horsemanship, the Horsebit has become one of the House’s most enduring and recognizable symbols. Introduced in the 1950s, the double ring and bar motif was inspired by Guccio Gucci’s time working in London’s Savoy Hotel, where he admired the equestrian lifestyle of the city’s elite.

Reflecting the House’s heritage of fine leather craftsmanship, the Horsebit first appeared on handbags and loafers.
